DOTA 2 Hit 1 Million Concurrent Players Over the Weekend
As highlighted on the Steam and Game Stats page,
Counter Strike: GO followed far behind Dota 2 in second place with
433,542 players over the weekend. Steam itself already cruised past
performance milestones this year when the video game service broke its
own record in January with 8.5 million concurrent players. Dota 2’s boost is an inch towards MOBA juggernaut League of Legends’ concurrent player record of 7.5 million users.
Dota 2’s milestone coincides with this year's New Bloom Festival which
features the Year Beast Brawl game mode, a new Arcana for Crystal Maiden
and more. We have everything you need to know about Dota 2's New Bloom Festival. You can rule the Year Beast Brawl with these tips for the Year Beast's upgrade paths, details on the Ability Point system, spell costs, and more.
